– TIP 1 –
Try not put your child to bed with a bottle of anything other than water.

Try to always clean the teeth in the morning after breakfast and, most importantly, at night before bed.

– TIP 3 –
Try not to keep juice in your home. There is nothing nutritious about store bought juice and the sugar and acid in juice is the perfect storm for cavity formation.

– TIP 4 –
Floss! I know this can be tedious. I often contemplate skipping this step too, but I never do because it only takes a few seconds and it really does help prevent cavities.

Beginning early is one of the best ways to kick start a healthy mouth. Dr. Goldenberg (and the Academies of Pediatric Dentistry) recommends a first dental visit by age 1 It gives the patients a chance to get really comfortable and addresses any issues early. Many dental issues are preventable and parents won’t regret starting early.
