Carly and Charley are two 10-year-old girls from Toronto who are hoping to make a difference in the lives of the city’s homeless. The girls always liked to wear mismatched socks. So, when the girls found out that socks are one of the most needed items in homeless centres, they came up with an idea: they decided to create a sock drive in which people could donate their single socks to shelters.
This is a great opportunity to help others while teaching your kids to give back to the community. Every household has a bin of single socks, so please go out this Sunday to help Carly and Charley reach their goal of 5000 socks!
If you are not able to go this weekend, you can still sort through your sock drawer and make a donation at the Ivivva store in the Vaghan Mills mall on Sunday, November 22 from 10am to 12pm.
