It’s Grease Lighting! This fall at Toronto’s historic Winter Garden Theatre, you can head back to Rydell High with Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and the gang for the first major home-grown production of Grease in Toronto in a generation!
The play incorporated most of the popular songs from the film, it could be described as fun, sexy, and entertaining. We suggest to book a babysitter, get your friends together, go for an early dinner, and make a night out of it! The best part is that if you have seen the movie as much as I have, you can sing along and dance in your seat.
Acclaimed Broadway choreographer and director Josh Prince, revived one of my all time favourite movies of the greatest high school rock musical Grease. He did a great job of making you feel like what it was like to be back in the 1950’s on the streets of Chicago.
The play veers a bit from the original but, puts a nice unique twist and keeps you guessing if they will cover all your favourite hits! The talented cast of singers and dancers have amazing voices and mimic the original cast except for Frenchie. The cast was assembled by legendary GLEE casting director Robert Ulrich.
Don’t miss Janel Parrish, Katie Findlay and Dylan S. Wallach that star in the original high school musical.
